| I try to drag a transparent png from Adobe Photoshop to Adobe
Illustrator and when I do, the transparent parts are no longer
transparent. They're white. I, however, would much prefer they be
transparent.
Any ideas as to how to change this behavior?

PNG is for the web, and although it looks great it is (as far as I
heard) not fully supported by "Windows type" browsers.
Anyhow......it is a web thingy. Illustrator and the web is a relatively
new engagement. You would probably be better of to use Flash.
Or make your file in PS, save it for Illustrator and then save/export as
GIF (or PNG??). >> Stay informed about: transparent png's in illustrator? |

I have found that saving your file in PhotoShop as a png, and then
placing that file in Illustrator, works fine. doing it this way,
maintains the transparency factor - however it is admittedly a slower
transaction

I'm not sure who you're asking, but if you're asking me, I have CS2. >> Stay informed about: transparent png's in illustrator? |

I don't think version 8 for the Mac does what you said.
