When you use the Free Distort effect, it takes whatever art it is given,
and applies the effect. It doesn't change the underlying art. So when
you reflect the rectangle, it applies the effect to the reflected
rectangle, which ends up looking the same since the rectangle is
symmetric.
Alternatives:
1. Object->Expand Appearance after applying the effect to convert it
back into regular artwork, then reflect.
2. Use a different method to change the shape before reflecting.
3. Draw the shape unsymmetrical before reflecting.
4. Use Effect->Distort & Transform->Transform to reflect, since it will
compound with the effects already there.
