Hello, Guru

I want to justify 2 lines of text to the right. After pressing align
right button beside paragraph at the top tool bar, they both shift to
the left most margin with the last character still visible. I then try
align center and half of the text come back. align left and they sit
where they were before.
I play with the reference point, tried all nine positions still can't
get the two lines to alige right. What is the trick?

It sounds like you want the 'paragraph' pallet and not the 'align' pallet.
'Align' moves text boxes, 'paragraph' formats the text itself.
