Running CS2 w/ updates,
I made a NEW file in photoshop, .. 24in x 52 in, .. 400 pixels per in, Color
RGB mode, don't edit or add anything, just save the file (as a psd file).
Illustrator will not open the file saying.... "Photoshop file not readable".
(same error either opening or placing the file)
I gradually went down in pix / in to see where the file would open in
Illustrator ...
At 352 pixels per in, (18,304 px width, 8448 px high), the file opens NO
PROBLEMs at all in Illlustrator.
At 353 pixels per in (and up), (18,356 px x 8472 px) the file gives
"Photoshop file not readable" when I try to open in Illlustrator.
Can someone enlighten me on this?? I thought I could at least go 30,000
pixels and import over into Illustrator. Maybe someone could try and
duplicate this on your machine, .... to see if my problem is related to
something specific in my system or settings, vs. CS2 software...
thanks in advance ...
Allen
