I don't know what you mean by "manually" position it, but select both
objects, use the alignment pallette and center horizontally and vertically.
Doesn't take long. If you want the circle to stay in the same place (ie,
align to the center of the circle which is already properly positioned),
select both objects, then click on the circle and then select your alignment
option from the pallete.
