Greetings,

I am new to illustrator, but wanted to learn to use it to create maps for a
game, that appear as the map of the world in Lord of the Rings for instance.

That map looks like it has been made with pen and ink. And the paper looks
like parchment. I have succeeded in creating the parchment appearence. But
now I need to learn that pen-and-ink style.

However, I have no clue how to get that appearence.

Is there anyone out there that can give me some pointers on what to do and
where to look?

I use Illustrator CS on Windows platform.

I would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions/URLs you can provide me
with.

Yours,

Kevin

Greets,

I'm sorry for being such a newbie, but either I don't understand how brushes
can help in this, or I simply do not understand brushes at all.

Can you perhaps shed a little light on this, to see if this is what I meant?

I would be very greatful for the info!

I am just curious as to how you created the parchment effect and whether
you have a link to it.
