Is there a way to add some kind of semi-permanent "page name" ("page
mark", "page tag", "page title", "file name", whatever) to each
individual free-standing PDF page I create, such that I can assemble
varying multi-page documents from a collection of such named pages, and
always have that unique name available as the target for links within
those documents?
In more detail, a page name such that:
(a) That name or tag will "stick" with that page when it's inserted
into, merged into, extracted from, or otherwise put into or taken out of
other multi-page documents (and hopefully, but not necessarily, be
preserved even when that page is touched up or edited and re-saved in
Illustrator, or even duplicated in the Finder);
(b) And, that name can be used as the target for creating "jump to"
links on other pages in the assembled multi-page documents (even if
still other pages are later inserted into or taken out of those
documents).
I'm befuddled by all the bookmark/tag/etc elements available in Acrobat
and their varying link properties. Which one do I need to focus on here?
