Im not sure quite what the cause is;

When I place and embed a PSD file into Illustrator, where the
transparences are not visible onscreen, when printing anything that was
behind the transparency, has now become a darket shade.

As a result my artwork has lost of shaded boxes around each image.

Im sure this is a frequent occurance, any help is appreciated.
