Hi all,

I have a new Gateway tablet PC (arrived in May) running XP and
Illustrator 10. When I try to copy and paste objects Illustrator seems
to freeze/slow down and can take over a minute to unclog itself.

I'm not trying to c/p huge objects. Even a few lines of unformatted
text will cause Illustrator to hang.

I've used Illustrator for years without a problem. I'm running the same
version (from the same installer) on my desktop and that almost never
hangs.

Today my clipboard is clean, from a clean restart, and my Task Manager
shows no abnormalities. I'm stumped.

I had this problem a few years ago but I do not know the solution.
Maybe reinstalling Illustrator 10 or moving to another version.
